It was late at night when I first stumbled across the Descent torrent download. I had just finished binge-watching the surprisingly good anime, HunterxHunter, and wanted to see what else was out there. The descent by Shia LaBeouf seemed like the perfect next step for me because it wasn't an Anime! After all, you can't really watch any other show without subtitles anyway. So I downloaded the english subbed file easily enough and began my descent into watching-with-subtitles hell. It may not be pretty, but it's definitely informative. And...well...to be fair...that's all this movie is about anyway... informative info. If you are looking for a movie with action, suspense, or even significant plot advancement...look elsewhere. I won't spoil the movie, but it is worth noting that pretty much everything was predictable. It was also pretty slow moving and hard to follow at times due to the subtitles being hard to read sometimes. Also, I had to pause several times to read my iPad screen because this movie is about an hour and 30 minutes long. That's a lot of time for one huge cluster of words that seems like it should be getting somewhere by now...but doesn't...instead it just introduces more characters who don't really do much besides act as new people for there only mildly interesting situation to appear onscreen with... This movie is essentially a documentary about people trapped in caves with their only hope of getting out being an extremely unlikely explosive, but it's also entirely possible that they may never get out of there at all...who knows...we'll see... Anyway, this movie was full of characters whose motivations were hard to understand. They talk about something that is very important to them (the important thing), but then immediately abandon it because the action of what's happening under their feet makes more sense. We are told it must be done, but then are given little to no explanation of why the characters are doing what they are doing. It's an interesting concept, but it's also another thing that makes this film so inaccessible for most people...you need to know the specifics in order to understand what's going on at all. If you can't stand subtitles or being bored with watching a movie for over an hour with barely talky parts here and there with very little action, then this might not be your thing. If you can tolerate subtitles though, then this movie is definitely worth a watch. Also, if you are in the mood for something intense, thrilling or even mildly suspenseful... you probably won't find that here either. If you are looking for a documentary about actual people trapped in caves with their lives on the line and some information about how to survive if you're stuck in a scary situation like that, then this movie is definitely worth watching. If you're just looking for a good movie to watch, then this might not be your best option. I'm not suggesting it's terrible or anything, I just wouldn't suggest it if you're looking for something exciting or even interesting...it's not very exciting and it's very hard to get invested in what's going on since the characters seem so strangely apathetic about everything they say they care about which is also kind of creepy. cfa1e77820
